Spent a wonderful day sailing with Cedric in January! As it was my first time sailing, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but by the end of the day I felt satisfied with how much I had learnt. Cedric did a great job dividing tasks between the four of us - balancing teaching, navigating, chatting, and even making lunch for us, putting everyone at ease. It is quickly obvious how knowledgeable and passionate he is about sailing, and truly loves being on the water. To top it off, the scenery was beautiful and we even got to see (and hear!) the sea lions on Trial Islands! I was lucky to end the day with a nice meal onboard and a great sleep in the cozy cabin. Hope to get out with Cedric again and learn more!

I went on a 4 day 3 night sailing excursion with Captain Cedric. He was an excellent instructor who provided us with great learning opportunities. Not only did we learn the basics of sailing, but also some navigation, weather, and boat maintenance lessons! Cedric teaches you as much as possible even though it’s quite a short trip to earn your crew certification. You will surely be leaving feeling confident for your next adventure! Had the opportunity to sail across the Georgia Strait from Mayne Island to Vancouver with Faro Sailing. Cedric was a such a knowledgeable teacher and an all around wonderful presence on the boat. It was great to have an instructor who balances letting you figure it out while giving you all the tools you need to feel confident manning the ropes on your own! Would highly recommend for anyone interested in starting their sailing journey or just looking to spend more time on the water to deepen their skillset and knowledge base! Thanks again!

Faro Sailing is amazing and Cedric is a natural teacher and a wonderful host! My husband and I chose Faro Sailing for our coastal navigation and marine radio operator certifications and it exceeded our expectations. We learned so much through Cedric’s experiential education approach and felt supported and encouraged the entire time.
